On August 24th, we officially kicked off the 2026 grape harvest. In the heart of our Dambach-la-Ville terroir, this period is always a suspended moment, the culmination of a year of hard work and passion. This year, the excitement is all the more beautiful as nature has some wonderful surprises in store for us.
Exceptional Resilience in the Face of the Heatwave
After two and a half months of intense heat without a single drop of rain, our vines have shown incredible resilience. Thanks to our long-standing commitment to Organic Farming, our living soils and deep-rooted vines were able to draw the necessary resources. The result in the buckets exceeds our expectations: perfectly healthy, sun-drenched grapes.
17 Harvesters and Meticulous Sorting: The Choice of 100% Manual Picking
The quality of our wines depends above all on respecting the fruit. To harvest these magnificent bunches, a team of 17 harvesters is hard at work every day in a joyful and cheerful atmosphere. Here, the harvest is exclusively manual. This rigorous choice allows for an initial sorting directly on the vine and preserves the integrity of every single grape.
The first juices coming out of the press taste absolutely fantastic. We are so happy with the beautiful fruit we’ve picked so far. The grapes for our Crémant d’Alsace are wonderfully fresh and airy, and the Auxerrois brings a lovely, comforting roundness. Meanwhile, our Muscat is completely bursting with fresh notes, and the Pinot Gris is looking incredibly rich, complex, and well-balanced.
