Work at Dawn: Between the Moon and Sunrise
During this summer period, which has been marked by a certain drought, we adapt our rhythm to nature. To avoid the intense heat, our work often begins very early in the morning. It is a magical moment: sometimes we are still accompanied by the moonlight before being rewarded with a breathtaking sunrise over the Alsace plain. These quiet morning hours are ideal for taking optimal care of our vines.

The “Véraison” Begins for Our Pinot Gris

Have you heard of “véraison” (the onset of ripening)? This is the moment in summer when the berries start to soften and change color. If you look closely at our beautiful, still-green Pinot Gris bunches, you can spot the very first berries turning color! Although the summer has been very dry so far, the few longed-for drops of rain this week have done our soils and grapes a lot of good, allowing them to continue ripening peacefully.

Dambach-la-Ville: 2nd Place in “France’s Favorite Village”!
We have every reason to celebrate! Our beautiful Dambach-la-Ville took a fantastic 2nd place in the national competition “Le Village Préféré des Français” (France’s Favorite Village)! When you let your gaze wander over our vines in the foreground and see the historic roofs of the village in the background, you will immediately understand why. As winemakers, this award fills us with great pride and highlights the charm of our home.
